11 May DOBRUDJA FLORA OIL Ltd. RENEWED A LARGE PART OF ITS LAVENDER PLANTATIONS

During the current spring campaign, a large part of the lavender massifs of DOBRUDJA FLORA OIL Ltd. were renewed. The ageing plantations were uprooted and replaced by new ones. The young plants are from the classic Bulgarian cultivars “HEMUS” and “DRUZHBA”. Seedlings are grown using the latest technologies and with regards to the productivity of future plantations and bio – characteristics. All previous plantations are bio certified and the tendency is to continue to certify the young seedlings as well. We acquired new modern equipment to our machine park which was used for the planting. When used, those machines guarantees almost one hundred percent interception of seedlings and minimizing the need for manual labor during planting. The HEMUS and DRUZHBA cultivars have met the standard for high quality oil thus making them truly competitive on international markets. Based on those high plant qualities we’ve decided to use mostly those cultivars for our plantations.
